Introducing the Gander Cup!

This 10 game season runs from June 28th to August 16th (10 games). Games will be primarily on Sundays from 9am-6pm, with select games on Friday and Saturday evenings. All games will be played on the beautiful fields of the Libertyville Township Sports Complex

The Gander Cup Summer League is administered by Premier Soccer League in partnership with GLSA.  This is a great opportunity for Rec teams who wish to keep playing into summer and test their skills against new opponents.

Program Details

Premier Soccer League will:

-manage all scheduling and communication for the season. A 10 Game Season Schedule will be provided at the beginning of the season.

-issue a Player ID for all players after Age Validation is complete

-track scores and maintain division standings. Weeks 9 and 10 will serve as Semi-Finals and Finals. Teams not playing in the Finals will play a consolation match on Week 10.

-award the Champion and Finalist of each division a trophy and medals.

GLSA will:

-form teams based on the number of registrations and projected size of division. Spring 2026 rosters will be consulted to try to keep teams together where possible alongside the availability of Volunteer Coaches.

-provide practice space at Libertyville Township Sports Complex (LTSC) for one session per week

-provide uniforms

NOTE: The Gander Cup Summer League has two Registration Deadlines for GLSA Rec:

June 12th– Soft Registration Deadline in order to be placed on a team before the season starts on June 28th. This allows GLSA time to create teams, notify coaches, and organize practice schedules at LTSC

July 6th– Final Registration Deadline. Player Registration for ALL Teams in the League is closed on this date. Late Registrations after 7/6 will only be allowed if roster space allows and with League permission.

Registrations between 6/12 and 7/6 will be placed on teams as space allows.
